ADVENTURE-HOLIDAYS AT KATSCHBERG
On Katschberg the skiing winter is in full swing. The best snow and slope conditions invite any skier.
The ski resort Katschberg has been renowned for its snow-secure and sunny winters for many years. The ski swing Katschberg offers 80 km of great runs. Wonderful slopes of all levels of difficulty connect the provinces of Salzburg and Carinthia.
Up to 10 km long runs take you to St. Michael and Rennweg. "Winter fun" is experienced in St. Margarethen, the village in the little paradise. Those who haven't been skiing on the Aineck for some time will find quite a few changes there. In tune with the present trend, a fun park with a half pipe, pro-jump, high-jump and slide have been installed at the Aineck.
In the course of the modernisation of the lifts comfort was considerably increased. The three ski tows Tschaneck, Gamskogel and Sonnalm were replaced by a 6-passenger and a 4-passenger chairlift. Moreover, the snow making systems were extended so 90% of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow, guaranteeing a snow-security of 100%.

Special offer for night owls: Between 7 and 9 p.m. Katschberg´s Königswiese slopes are bustling with life. Skiing in flood light, free of charge (with valid ski pass) and without prior registration. For those you can't get enough during the day.
Adventure for the entire family: Night sledding on Katschberg. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, during vacations daily. Down into the valley on a 1,5 km floodlit slope. Stop and sled rental on Gamskogel Hut. The ascent to Gamskogel Hut takes about 40 minutes from Katschberg center.
